Dr Caroline Chung
Dr Caroline Chung is a registered specialist in paediatric dentistry. Her experience includes all aspects of paediatric dentistry, with a particular interest in dental trauma and emergencies, dental management of anxious children, decay in early childhood, and surgical management of impacted and supernumerary teeth. Following her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, she worked in general private practice in Sydney for three years and then moved overseas to further her studies and experience. Dr Chung obtained her Masters and Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong, and her Diploma of Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She then traveled in a professional capacity to places such as Malaysia, Canada and Germany, gaining a unique exposure to different cultures and backgrounds. Dr Chung has been working in specialist private practice in Sydney for several years, and also has two little girls to keep her very busy!
Dr Aodhan Docherty
Dr Aodhan Docherty is skilled in all facets of general dentistry and prides himself on rejuvenating smiles. Having graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medical Science and Graduate Degree in Dentistry with Honours, Dr Docherty has experience in working in paediatrics, aged care, general family dentistry and emergency treatment. Dr Docherty was awarded the prestigious Rudolf Gunz University of Sydney Medal. Dr Docherty’s expertise includes root canal therapy, crown and bridgework, extractions, general and cosmetic dentistry. Seven years of graduate education and clinical experience has ensured that Dr Docherty works to an extremely high standard and strives to raise the bar for the benefit of his patients. He places utmost importance on taking the time to formulate a long term and comprehensive treatment plan and discussing the options with parents and the specialists with whom he works. With a relaxed and calming chairside manner, Dr Docherty goes above and beyond to deliver pain free dentistry and treats every child as though they were family; ethically and compassionately. “I look forward to delivering a long term treatment plan for all of my patients to ensure good oral health and so they can be proud of their smile.”
Dr Mark Mingjie Lu
Dr Mark Lu graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Graduate Degree in Dentistry with first class honours. He has worked as a health professional for many years which has enhanced his understanding of a patient’s needs, and he practises all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in paediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
From his own childhood painful dental experiences including root canal therapy without local anaesthetic, he has developed a deep understanding of two things: firstly how much a patient suffers when they experience tooth ache and, secondly, the vital importance of daily oral hygiene. Since the day he started practising dentistry, he has been determined to deliver pain free dentistry.
Dr Lu speaks both English and Mandarin fluently and takes the time to discuss treatment options comprehensively with parents so that they understand the pros and cons of these options before making any decisions. He is happy to answer any questions, taking into consideration both function and aesthetics, and his goal is always to provide optimal oral care with long term functional stability. He takes great pleasure in his patients’ satisfaction and beautiful smile after treatment.
Ms Selah Choi
Selah Choi graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from University of Newcastle and Diploma of Dental Technology at TAFE NSW. She is qualified as a Dental Hygienist as well as Dental Technician, and works closely with Dr. Caroline Chung to provide a holistic preventive care for children. Selah is focused on education and a personalised oral health program for children that she sees as patients, ensuring customized care in a comfortable dental environment. In addition to English, Selah speaks Spanish and Korean fluently.
Ms Esther Wilson
Esther is a valuable new Dental Hygienist of our team and already proving to be extremely popular. A recent arrival from Perth, WA, she is now settling into Sydney and getting used to our city’s traffic!
Coming from a multi-disciplinary practice in Perth, she is experienced in all aspects of periodontal care and dental hygiene. She works closely with our dentists and prides herself on attention to detail, ensuring your child gets the best possible results from their hygiene visit. With her empathetic, gentle nature she will put your child at your ease and answer any of your questions. She will explain how you can improve your child’s oral hygiene at home as her understanding of the preventative role in dental health is fundamental to her work.
Ms Sarah Picciolini
Sarah is a qualified Dental Hygienist, having obtained her Bachelor of Oral Health at University of Newcastle. Sarah works closely with all our dentists to provide quality preventative care in both general and cosmetic dentistry.
Sarah has a passion for improving and maintaining optimum oral health. Friendly and approachable, she is continually striving to keep up to date with the latest preventative dental techniques to ensure a comfortable experience and the best outcome for her patients.
With 9 years experience in the dental industry, Sarah worked as a dental assistant prior to her degree. She has completed an Advanced Diploma in Nutrition, complementing her passion for preventative care, and is happy to share her knowledge to educate patients in ways they can improve their oral health and maintain a healthy smile.
Sarah has worked in multi-disciplinary roles as a hygienist and is great with children.
